We are seeking an experienced and reliable Disability Support Worker to provide sleepover support to an NDIS participant.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide overnight sleepover support and ensure participant safety and comfort.
Assist with hoist transfers and lifting equipment as required.
Safely operate and maintain hoists and other manual handling equipment.
Follow the participant’s manual handling and care plans.
Assist with repositioning and personal care when required.
Monitor the participant throughout the sleepover and respond appropriately to support needs.
Complete shift notes and report any incidents or concerns.
Maintain a secure, respectful and person-centred setting.
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience supporting people with complex physical support needs.
Hands-on experience using hoists and lifting equipment.
Positive understanding of manual handling and safe transfer procedures.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Working with Children Check, where applicable.
First Aid and CPR.
Reliable, professional and compassionate approach.
Ability to work overnight/sleepover shifts.
Desirable: Experience working with participants requiring regular repositioning, transfers and mobility assistance.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour
