MCJ Appointments are looking for an experienced Safety Lead to partner with operational teams and support the delivery of a safe, compliant and proactive work environment. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with managers and employees to identify risks, improve safety performance and ensure compliance with WHS legislation.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct workplace inspections and internal WHS audits.
Identify hazards and implement effective risk controls.
Coordinate corrective actions and monitor safety compliance.
Assist with incident investigations and promote continuous improvement.
Support Health & Safety Representatives (HSRs) and operational leaders.
Deliver and coordinate WHS inductions and training initiatives.
Monitor PPE compliance and safe work practices.
Maintain WHS records, reports and safety documentation.
Analyse safety data and identify prospects for improvement.
Assist with contractor safety management and emergency preparedness.

About You

You'll bring:
Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or related qualification).
Experience in a WHS advisory or safety leadership role.




Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation.
Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Current Class C Driver Licence.

Local Government or self-insured employer experience will be highly regarded.
