Role Description

We are seeking a Fauna Spotter Catcher with previous experience and the ability to work DIDO and locally on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.



As a Fauna Spotter Catcher, you will be responsible for pre-clearance habitat and fauna surveys, animal breeding place surveys, onsite fauna detection, catching, identification, and relocation, dewatering and aquatic fauna management, native bee hive relocation, and data recording.

Essential Requirements
Experience undertaking Fauna Spotter Catcher work.
Construction Industry White Card.
Drivers Licence.
First Aid Certificate.
Venomous Snake Handling Certificate.
Lyssavirus vaccinated (or willing to obtain).
Confident fauna handling and ID skills.
Confident and competent in handling and relocating fauna.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to be self-managed, self-motivated, work autonomously as well as in a team environment and have a solid work ethic.
Practical knowledge of work health and safety policies and procedures.

Desirable
Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Animal Ecology, Zoology or other related discipline.
Fauna Handling Certificate.
4WD Certificate.
ISI Gas induction.
Standard 11 generic induction.
QLD coal board medical.
Cat 3 rail medical.
