About us

Mac Thai is a small, family-run Thai restaurant at Coomera Collective. We're not a chain — we're two owners, a tight kitchen, and a growing list of regulars who come back because the food is positive and the welcome is warm. Our front of house person is the welcome, which is why we're picky about who fills it.

The hours
Tuesday to Saturday, lunch service, 10:30am – 2:30pm
Saturday, dinner service, 4:30pm – 8:30pm

Consistent, reliable hours. Sundays and Mondays off, and every weeknight free — genuinely rare in hospitality, and a valuable fit if you've got school hours, study, or a second commitment to work around.

What you'll be doing
Greeting guests and making them feel looked after from the moment they walk in
Taking orders accurately, and knowing the menu well enough to guide people through it
Running food and drinks, clearing and resetting tables, keeping the floor tidy
Handling payments and takeaway orders




Setting up before service and packing down after
Working closely with the kitchen so orders flow smoothly during the rush

Who we're looking for
Previous experience in a restaurant, café or similar — you've worked a busy floor before and it doesn't rattle you
A genuinely positive attitude. Friendly with guests, easy to work alongside, and someone who pitches in without being asked
Reliable. If you're rostered, you show up on time
Able to stay calm and organised through a full lunch rush
Available for the full roster above, ongoing
