Job Description

We are hiring an experienced support worker who has proven work experience with participants with dementia.

Participant requires companionship, community access and someone who is interactive, engaging and very patient and understanding. This role is suitable for someone who has managed participants with frontotemporal dementia, or has experience with managing challenging behaviours.

Participant preferences:
– Male support worker only.
– Iraqi Arabic and English speaking.

Role & Hours:
– This is a casual TFN role (do not apply if you want ABN).
– Starting with 8 to 10 hours per week with potential to increase depending on suitability.
– Shifts are on Monday, Thursday and Friday.

– Roxburgh Park

Key Responsibilities




Support participant with community access and social activities.
Encourage independence, inclusion and skill development.
Follow individual support plan and behaviour support plan.
Monitor participant’s well-being and report any concerns.
Maintain accurate shift notes and shift records.
Follow company policies, procedures and workplace safety.

Skill & Experience
Experience and understanding of dementia.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Working with Children Check.
Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
NDIS Worker Orientation module certificates.
Infection Control certificate.
Australian driver’s licence.
Registered vehicle and vehicle insurance.
Full Australian working rights.
