Senior Software Test Engineer – Edge AI / Embedded Systems

Location: Sydney, NSW

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 pa + Super

Brief Intro A growing technology business is seeking a Software Test Engineer to develop automated testing and validation processes for embedded products. The role will work across software, hardware and sensor-based systems, with a focus on improving test coverage, reliability and release quality.

Key Skills/Experience
Experience in software testing, validation or quality engineering, ideally within embedded, sensor, robotics, automotive, medical device or edge-AI products.
Robust Python skills for test automation, data processing and analysis using tools such as pandas and NumPy.




C/C++ literacy and experience debugging embedded systems.
Pytest or equivalent automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
Embedded interfaces including UART, SPI/I²C, JTAG/SWD and practical use of oscilloscopes or logic analysers.
Experience with Linux/WSL, Git and shell scripting.
Solid understanding of test design, statistical analysis and performance measurement.
