We're seeking a fully qualified and licenced mechanic to join our high-volume Gunnedah workshop. This role is ideal for someone ready to oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service & operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily workshop operations, ensuring efficiency and high-quality service.
Perform mechanical repairs and servicing on a variety of vehicles, from light to heavy-duty vehicles.
Conduct vehicle inspections for registration purposes, ensuring compliance with NSW (AIS) standards.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, fostering trust, ongoing repeat business.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Report any operational issues or deficiencies to the Management Team.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificate in the relevant class (e.g., motor mechanic) as mandated by NSW Fair Trading.
Current and valid NSW Driver's Licence.
Authorised Examiner accreditation under the Authorised Inspection Scheme (AIS) for conducting vehicle safety checks.
Proven experience in mechanical diagnostics and repairs across various vehicle types.Excellent communication & customer service skills, both with customers, team members, contractors & Management.
