Tasks:
CNC machining: application, limitations, method of programming, machining from a 3D model.
Fabrication: various welding methods, minimisation of heat distortion, preparation for welding.
The creation of 3D models to produce 2D drawings using Solidworks
Fabrication drawings: understanding the various welding symbols, understand of fabrication tolerances, requirement of stress relieving
Machining drawings: the application of machining and geometrical tolerances symbols
Gain experience using metrology equipment such as CMM – Co-ordinate Measuring Machine
