Night Shift Manufacturing Team Leader

Full time | Night shift leadership role

At General Mills, we’re behind some of Australia’s most loved brands and we’re proud to make them right here in Rooty Hill. We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to lead, coach and develop a frontline team to deliver protected, reliable and high-quality production during our night shift operations.

About the role

Reporting to the Platform Leader, you will:

Lead a shift-based production team to achieve targets across safety, quality, performance, waste and engagement

Run effective daily direction-setting meetings, using data and visual boards to review performance, set priorities and follow up actions

Apply your mechanical aptitude to support equipment changeovers, basic troubleshooting and loss elimination alongside Maintenance

Drive zero harm and food safety behaviours, ensuring standards and procedures are followed at all times

Use continuous improvement tools (e.g. root cause analysis, standard work, Centre lining) to identify and remove losses





Build capability in your team through coaching, feedback, skills development and explicit expectations

Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Planning and other functions to deliver the production plan

About you

You will bring

Experience in a manufacturing/operations leadership role (food, FMCG or similar high-speed setting ideal)

Strong people leadership skills – able to engage, coach and hold others accountable

Proven mechanical aptitude and confidence working with production equipment and processes

Experience leading toolbox/directional meetings and using data to drive decisions A strong commitment to safety, food safety and quality

Continuous improvement mindset and comfort working in a quick-paced, shift-based setting
