Detailed Job Description:
Lead end-to-end decommissioning of Kafka, Responsys, APIs, Control-M jobs,
batch processes, and associated data pipelines.
Conduct application discovery and dependency
analysis to identify upstream/downstream system impacts and decommission
candidates.
Define decommission strategy, technical approach,
execution plan, rollback procedures, and success criteria.
Coordinate migration and retirement of Kafka
topics, producers, consumers, integrations, and messaging workflows.
Lead data archival, retention, validation, and
compliance activities to ensure secure system retirement.




Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects,
application owners, infrastructure teams, and vendors to drive decommission
activities.
Oversee SIT, cutover and post-decommission
validation to ensure business continuity and zero critical impact.
Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation
plans while providing regular status updates to leadership.
Develop and review technical documentation,
runbooks, decommission checklists, architecture diagrams, and knowledge
transfer materials.
Mentor development and
support teams, drive technical governance, and ensure successful sign-off and
closure of decommission milestones
