Overview of Role
As an International financial services organisation, FastBank has a trading business unit dedicated to high net worth and corporate customers. Due to extensive growth we are investing in a number of significant system upgrades and replacements, particularly our Equities systems.
Main Responsibilities
The role objective is to identify, solicit, document and implements functional and non-functional requirements for a recent Equities system. The successful applicant will have the following responsibilities:
The elicitation and documentation of concise functional and non-functional requirements for the problem/solution, particularly in the use of use-cases.
Identify, understand and document current and future operational processes.
Use exceptional communication and negotiation skills to interface between IT and the business to ensure all needs are identified and documented
Map data and process flows and translate the requirements into statements of work;
Prepare user acceptance testing processes and documentation through workshops and sessions with key end-user groups in order to ensure the delivery of business requirements.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge: MANDATORY
Tertiary qualification in a Computing discipline
In depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Experience in writing use case and models with UML
Experience working as a Business Analyst within financial services settings for large systems implementations
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
Exposure to Agile development environments
Understanding of Rational tools and processes, ideally RUP
Knowledge of Equities
