Pediatric Private Duty RN – Night Shift (12-Hour Shifts)
Location: Whiticha Falls, TX Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts Position Type: Private Duty Nursing
BrightStar Care is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for a pediatric patient in the home setting. This position is ideal for nurses who are passionate about pediatric care and thrive in a private-duty environment.
Patient Overview
3-year-old pediatric patient
History of traumatic brain injury (TBI)
Blind and non-verbal
Receiving tube feedings (TF)
Seizure precautions
Aspiration precautions
Responsibilities
Provide skilled nursing care during 12-hour overnight shifts
Manage and monitor tube feedings
Care for and maintain a Mickey Button (G-tube)
Monitor for seizure activity and respond appropriately
Implement aspiration precautions and ensure patient safety
Complete accurate nursing documentation
Communicate effectively with family members and the clinical team
Requirements
Current RN license in positive standing
Pediatric nursing experience required
Experience with G-tubes/Mickey Buttons preferred
Knowledge of seizure management and aspiration precautions
Ability to lift and transfer up to 55 pounds
Current CPR/BLS certification
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
