A Life Plus is a Sydney-based ready-meal production company operating from our facility in Botany. We prepare, cook, portion, pack and dispatch meals in-house and are looking for a hands-on QA & Production Quality Manager to improve product consistency, production systems and day-to-day quality standards as we grow.

This role is highly practical and floor-based. You will work directly with cooks, prep staff and packers to identify issues, improve processes and make sure quality standards are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities
Check product quality and consistency throughout production
Monitor portion weights and recipe specifications
Create and improve SOPs, checklists and QA checkpoints
Train and coach production staff on quality and food safety standards
Conduct regular spot checks and correct issues in real time
Investigate recurring production problems and identify root causes
Help reduce food waste, improve ingredient yield and minimise rework
Improve batch sheets and production procedures
Support current product and SKU launches
Improve production flow and standardisation
Work closely with management on practical quality and production improvements





About You You should have previous experience in QA, production quality or operations within a commercial kitchen, ready-meal business, catering operation or high-volume food production workplace.

You should be comfortable spending most of your time on the production floor and working directly with production teams.

Experience with HACCP, food safety, SOP development, staff training, waste reduction, yield improvement or production process improvement is highly valued.

Food Safety Supervisor certification or a similar Australian food safety qualification is desirable.

We are looking for someone practical, detail-oriented and proactive who takes ownership of recurring problems and focuses on improving the process, not just reporting the issue.
