Plantrite are custodians of Australia's unique native flora — grown with craft, so it thrives. Since 2007 we've grown native plants for revegetation, mine rehabilitation, carbon plantings and habitat restoration projects across WA. Every tray that leaves our nursery in good health is a small part of that landscape recovering — and the craft behind that outcome starts with the person managing plant health.

We're looking for an experienced Grower to take that ownership on. This is a senior, hands-on technical role, not a junior cultivation position. Reporting to the Nursery Manager and supervising a small team, you'll take full ownership of plant health, nutrition, propagation and growing-area decisions across the nursery — spotting a problem before it spreads, making the call on treatment, and following through to confirm it worked. We back that judgement; the call is yours to make and defend.

The role:
Full decide-and-apply authority on plant health, diagnosis and treatment across all growing areas
Running the nursery's Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program
Plant nutrition and feeding programs
Direction of chemical applications (ChemCert required)
Cutting propagation — scheduling, material selection, setting,



and leading a small propagation team
Irrigation oversight and stock movement decisions based on plant health and hardening-off needs
Full time, standard nursery hours, including participation in a rotating weekend watering roster

What you'll bring:
Current ChemCert accreditation (or equivalent) — essential
Minimum Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent demonstrated industry experience
Real, hands-on experience diagnosing pest, disease and nutrient problems and deciding treatment — not just classroom or lab-based knowledge
Propagation experience and sound plant nutrition knowledge
The confidence to make the call, direct a small team, and hold a standard of craft
