You will support senior fee earners in the proactive management of matters within the General Insurance practice group. You will provide high-quality legal advice and representation across a broad spectrum of public liability matters, with a particular focus on personal injury.
Key responsibilities
Assisting senior Fee Earners with the day-to-day conduct of a range of litigated and unlitigated files.
Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
Assisting with document review and analysis.
Attending to legal research and analysis.
Provide expert legal advice throughout the litigation process.
Appearing in court and instructing counsel.
Communicating with external stakeholders such as other parties, Insured clients, counsel and experts.
Assisting with business development opportunities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Following all the Firm's policies and procedures.
About you
Admission to practice law in Australia.
Minimum of 2 years Post-Qualification Experience.
Experience in insurance litigation is highly regarded.
Desire to assist others and work collaboratively in a high performing team.
An interest in fee-earning and case management.
High level of competency with iManage (or similar document management system) and time recording software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel), along with the willingness to be trained further.
A willingness to adopt and utilise AI and recent technologies.
