Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise carpentry crews and subcontractors on site.
Coordinate day-to-day carpentry activities and ensure works are completed in accordance with plans, specifications and program requirements.
Read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
Set out and check framing, structural works and general carpentry.
Ensure all work is completed to a high-quality standard and in accordance with the NCC, relevant Australian Standards and company requirements.
Coordinate materials, deliveries and site requirements with the Project Manager.
Monitor productivity and assist with keeping projects on schedule.
Identify and resolve construction issues before they impact the program.
Conduct quality checks throughout the build and rectify any issues as required.
Maintain a secure, clean and organized worksite.
Communicate effectively with trades, subcontractors, suppliers and management.
Provide guidance and support to apprentices and junior carpenters.
Complete hands-on carpentry works.
Assist the Project Manager with daily site reporting, progress updates and general coordination.
