Located in Phillip, Canberra ACT 2606, DeVINO Wine and Salumi is an Italian-inspired wine store, wine bar and deli offering a curated selection of wines, Italian salumi, artisanal cheeses and specialty products.
DeVINO Wine and Salumi is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Retail Manager to become part of their team.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the day-to-day operations of the retail store to ensure effective and professional service.
Planning and implementing purchasing, merchandising and promotional activities to support sales and business objectives.
Monitoring stock levels, coordinating inventory control and ordering products to maintain appropriate stock availability.
Managing product displays and ensuring the store is presented to a high standard.
Supervising, training and coordinating retail staff to maintain excellent customer service and operational standards.
Monitoring sales performance, expenses and stock movement and assisting with achieving business targets.
Providing knowledgeable and qualified customer service and assisting customers with product selections.
Liaising with suppliers and representatives regarding product availability, pricing and deliveries.
Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and relevant regulations.
Supporting management with the ongoing development and improvement of retail operations.
About you:
At least one year of relevant experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
Strong organisational, leadership and time management skills.
Ability to supervise and support staff in a busy retail environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Good understanding of stock control, merchandising and retail operations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to achieving sales and operational targets.
An interest in wine, Italian food and specialty products would be highly regarded.
Qualified presentation and a strong customer-focused approach.
Job Type: Permanent/Full-time
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum
