This role ensures high‐quality learning experiences, aligns development activities with organisational and state-wide requirements, and strengthens educational consistency across programs and clinical settings.Salary range: $***** - $$***** per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doingThis Statewide role includes the coordination and delivery of the Neonatal Resuscitation Training program, the Neonatal Critical Care Unit Graduate Transition Program, the Preceptor Program and acting as the statewide clinical resource for expert input into neonatal training.
As an education and clinical expert, you will work collaboratively within and across education and clinical teams to build interprofessional workforce capacity, capability, and competence for our clinical teams within the Neonatal specialty.Provide educational support, mentorship, and development opportunities enabling Graduate RNs to transition from novice to advanced beginner level practitioner in the NCCWork with internal departments, clinical teams, and external partners to strengthen and promote Neonatal training and professional development activities across the State.Develop learning resources that are evidence‐based, relevant,
and responsive to workforce needs.Collaborate with Education Coordinators and Clinical Facilitators across the State to adapt and localise neonatal training for diverse clinical environments.Provide guidance and resources to ensure consistency and quality of neonatal education delivery.Partner with health leadership to accurately determine learning needs within the Neonatal specialty across all Mater Hospitals.About youTo be successful in your application, you will have:Current and unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Professional Registration Authority (AHPRA) as a Registered NurseMaster's degree in clinical teaching / education or equivalentA minimum of 5 years' experience in Neonatal Intensive Care nursingDemonstrated experience in clinical education and trainingDemonstrated experience in and understanding of clinical simulation and its application to teaching and learning outcomesExcellent communication, leadership and organisational skills with a commitment to quality improvement initiativesDemonstrated ability to foster a supportive learning environment and guide teams through changeCompetence with use of digital systems including Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems and other databases.Mater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
