Moreton Hospitality - The Straddie Hotel – Point Lookout QLDRun the accommodation side of one of Queensland's most iconic coastal venuesThe Straddie Hotel has relaunched, and we're looking for an Admin & Accommodation Manager to take ownership of the accommodation business end to end - reception, housekeeping, and everything behind the scenes that keeps it running.About UsMoreton Hospitality operates a portfolio of venues across South-East Queensland including The Straddie Hotel and a number of associated Cellarbrations bottle shops.The Straddie Hotel sits directly across from Cylinder Beach on North Stradbroke Island.
Following a full redevelopment, it now features a high-volume bistro, four bars, gaming, function spaces, 15 accommodation rooms and 3 bottle shops across the island, alongside the Waves Apartments letting business.The RoleReporting to the General Manager, you'll lead reception, housekeeping and cleaning, and hold the administration of the accommodation business.Lead the reception team and work the desk yourself - check-ins, check-outs, guest questions and everything in betweenManage housekeeping and cleaning, including daily inspections, room readiness, training and standardsHandle guest complaints and escalations at first point of contactOwn the rosters across reception and housekeeping, and manage labour costs to budgetKeep reservations, rate loading and third party booking channels accurate and currentRun the back office - daily banking, floats, invoicing, debtor follow-up, supplier accounts and reconciliationAct as Designated Person in Charge under the Corporate Letting Licence, and manage individual letting agreements with apartment ownersDistribute the trust account and complete month end reconciliation for the accommodation businessReport on occupancy, rate and revenue to the GMWhat You'll BringExperience in accommodation, front office or hotel management,



ideally across both guest-facing and administrative functionsStrong administration and numeracy - you're comfortable with reconciliation, banking and month endConfidence leading a small team and holding standards consistentlyFamiliarity with a PMS or accommodation booking systemGenuine guest focus, and the willingness to be on the desk rather than behind a doorFull Australian working rightsExperience under a Queensland corporate letting licence is an advantage but not essential.Living on StraddieNorth Stradbroke Island isn't just a place to work, it's a lifestyle - white sand beaches, a tight-knit community, and one of Queensland's most iconic venues on your doorstep.If you already call the island home, we'd love to hear from you, and applicants with their own accommodation on the island will be viewed favourably.
