We are seeking a "Jack of all trades" Registered Nurse for a travel nursing contract in Queenstown, Tasmania.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinician who enjoys working across emergency response, sub-acute care, and aged care support within a close-knit rural health setting.The RoleThe successful applicant will work as part of the WCDH team, providing high-quality nursing care across a diverse range of presentations.
You will be expected to work autonomously, take charge, and provide clinical leadership across the facility.The role includes:Working within our 3-bed First Response Unit, managing approximately 180 presentations per monthProviding care within our 9-bed Sub Acute Unit, where the majority of your clinical duties will be basedSupporting and providing guidance to Registered Nurses and staff within our 16-bed Residential Aged Care UnitTaking on shift-in-charge responsibilitiesParticipating in a rotating on-call rosterEssential RequirementsWe are looking for a confident and capable rural nurse with:Current Registered Nurse registrationProven rural and/or acute care nursing experienceALS competencyTriage competencyResuscitation competency and experienceWorking with vulnerable people checkPolice CheckAbility to work independently and confidently in a leadership capacityA flexible "can-do" attitude and willingness to support across multiple areas of the facilityContract DetailsLocation: West Coast District Hospital (WCDH), Queenstown, TasmaniaContract period: *************Roster: Rotating roster including early shifts and on-call requirementsAccommodation: Provided close to the facilityWhy Queenstown?
