The role partners closely with Managing Directors, operational leaders, project teams and commercial stakeholders to manage legal risk while enabling commercial outcomes across complex infrastructure and consultancy projects.
This opportunity can be based in Singapore, Hong Kong or Australia, with Perth considered particularly attractive due to regional time zone alignment.
The role will suit someone who enjoys operating in a fast-moving, commercially driven setting and who can balance risk management with practical business outcomes.What You'll Be DoingActing as the lead legal advisor across Egis' Asia regionLeading negotiation and review of major infrastructure and consultancy contractsAdvising on legal, ethics,



compliance and governance matters across multiple jurisdictionsSupporting project delivery teams and senior leadership on commercial and risk mattersManaging claims strategy, insurer engagement and professional indemnity mattersDriving legal process improvement, contract standardisation and legal literacy across the businessManaging and mentoring members of the Legal, Ethics & Compliance teamManaging external legal counsel and legal spend across the regionParticipating in APAC and Group-level risk review and governance committeesQualifications10+ years PQE within professional services, engineering, infrastructure or consulting environmentsStrong experience negotiating consultancy and project contracts across Asia, particularly Southeast AsiaStrong understanding of professional indemnity, design liability and commercial risk managementAbility to provide commercially pragmatic legal advice to technical and operational stakeholdersExperience operating within complex, matrix or project-based organisationsExcellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation capabilityA proactive, resilient and solutions-focused mindsetLeadership capability with experience mentoring or managing legal professionalsAdditional InformationEgis is committed to creating an inclusive, flexible, and values-led workplace.
