eHealth is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud & Enterprise Infrastructure Services team, supporting critical infrastructure initiatives across the company.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing the deployment of cloud services, including the ongoing performance and operational management of cloud technologies across the company system.
You will work closely with ICT colleagues across NSW Local Health Districts and eHealth NSW to deliver secure, reliable cloud infrastructure that meets real business outcomes.

In this role, you will:
Manage cloud platform performance in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining high standards of security, optimisation, resiliency, and stability across all environments.
Develop and implement strategies for deploying cloud services, engaging relevant stakeholders to ensure the ongoing support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of cloud software and products.
Identify opportunities for automation and self‐service, making evidence‐based recommendations and implementing procedures that enhance operational efficiency and capability.
Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation in collaboration with the team and key stakeholders, contributing to knowledge management practices that build collective expertise and drive adoption of platforms and products.
Apply a data‐driven approach to analyse and resolve complex technical issues, improving system reliability and availability while meeting defined quality metrics and service standards.
Proactively develop and maintain knowledge across cloud technologies, services, and capabilities including public and private cloud environments and Infrastructure as Code practices to inform best practice and support continuous learning within the team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Extensive experience with public and private cloud services and ICT infrastructure, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
Demonstrated hands‐on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and version control repositories,
with a strong understanding of best practices in cloud provisioning and configuration management.
Proven experience developing and maintaining CI/CD platforms, with exposure to tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions in enterprise or large‐scale environments.
Working knowledge of AWS and Azure, including core services across compute, networking, storage, and identity.
Familiarity with modern ICT practices including DevSecFinOps and Agile delivery methodologies, and a commitment to applying these within a complex organisational environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes in a high‐volume, fast‐paced environment.
