Purchasing OfficerPermanent | South East, Brisbane | Up to $110,000 packageAn exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join one of Australia's leading electrical contracting and engineering businesses.My client has delivered more than 320 projects nationwide across commercial, residential, infrastructure, health, education, data centres and government.
With a strong pipeline of major projects, the business is seeking a commercially minded purchasing qualified to support its continued growth.The RoleWorking closely with project managers, estimators, finance and site teams, you will coordinate the procurement of electrical materials, equipment and services across multiple projects.Your responsibilities will include:Raising and managing purchase orders from creation through to deliverySourcing electrical materials, equipment and project suppliesObtaining and comparing supplier quotationsNegotiating pricing, lead times and commercial termsBuilding and maintaining strong supplier relationshipsMonitoring stock availability, back orders and delivery schedulesCoordinating deliveries across project sites and the head officeResolving pricing, invoice, quality and delivery discrepanciesMaintaining accurate supplier, product and purchasing informationSupporting project teams with urgent and specialist procurement needsIdentifying opportunities to improve costs and purchasing processesEnsuring procurement activities align with project budgets and deadlinesAssisting with supplier reviews and contract administrationAbout YouTo be successful,
