Brisbane CBD location/ hybrid work from homeHelp develop and mentor a team of Claims HandlersPermanent full-time roleJob DescriptionThe Technical Advisor will provide technical assistance Claims Advisors and Senior Claims Advisors by contributing to and driving proactive claims management across the Statutory division.
You will be responsible for ensuring cost effective intervention is provided in a timely manner and influencing effective claims strategy within the claims team.
You will also coach and mentor Claims handlers to ensure sound decision making and to assist the development of legislative and regulatory knowledge and skills.
This role is a Permanent full time role.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the subject matter expert for the immediate team in area of specialisation and is the main point of contact for all technical queries relating to policy, legislation, product knowledge, systems, processes or proceduresProvides specialist technical and/or professional advice for the authorisation and approval of complex claims/policies involving analysis and experience to arrive at the correct course of actionIncrease awareness of the cost and consequence of technical decisionsProvide technical expertise and support to ensure ongoing quality decisions and outcomesActively share knowledge, advise and coach others to build and develop technical capabilities to create a 'high performing team environmentEffectively interpret market information,
