People First Bank - Corporate External Advert TemplateWe have an exciting opportunity for a Security Platform Lead to join our Enterprise Platforms team in a full time permanent role.About the TeamOur Enterprise Platforms team contributes to the delivery of our strategic goals by ensuring we have a modern and efficient workplace that keeps our people connected, and by delivering evergreen technology infrastructure platforms and services that are scalable, secure and fit for purpose.About the RoleAs part of the Enterprise Platforms team, you will be accountable for the operational performance, stability and prioritisation of our security infrastructure platforms, including firewalls, load balancers, TLS termination, certificates and associated controls.
You will provide clear daily direction to our managed service provider (MSP), own security infrastructure change and incident outcomes, and ensure controls remain reliable, auditable and aligned to service availability.
You will also support cyber incidents through initial review, infrastructure containment execution and coordination of Security Engineers and MSP Engineers.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end ownership of:o Firewallso Load balancerso Proxieso External certificates, domains and DNSSetting daily priorities for all security-related business-as-usual workProviding leadership, support and a technical escalation point for security infrastructure, which may extend outside business hoursOwning risk management plans and processes, and successfully implementing and operating them across teamsActing as the primary contact for security infrastructure incidents, changes and outcomesAssessing risk and service impact for proposed and emergency changesRepresenting security changes and improvements at relevant meetings and forumsProviding ownership and guidance of security infrastructure policies, procedures, design and configurationsLeading security infrastructure lifecycle planning,



including end-of-life and end-of-support remediationOverseeing vulnerability and patch managementPartnering with Architecture and project teams on security design and effort estimationProviding insight and guidance on new and emerging security technologiesUpholding your duty of care by embedding WHS in daily activities, adhering to the Bank's policies and procedures, and actively promoting a physically and psychologically secure workplaceAbout YouYou bring valued experience as a Security Engineer and are ready to provide clear platform leadership across multiple security disciplines.
Under your leadership, security-related changes are controlled and predictable, certificate renewals occur without urgency, and cyber-related actions are appropriately triaged and coordinated.
You ensure audit evidence is readily available, infrastructure security practices and processes are well documented, and MSP delivery is consistent and low-risk.Knowledge and ExperienceDemonstrated knowledge of security principles and a technical understanding of IT security–related technologies (e.g. firewalls, endpoint/server protection, email security, data encryption, PKI, HSM, DLP/IDS)High-level knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and DNS technologiesHigh-level knowledge of the Cisco security suite (ISE, Stealthwatch, etc.)o High-level knowledge of firewall technologies, including:o Fortinet (SD-WAN)o Cloud firewalls (AWS / Azure)High-level knowledge of proxy technologies, including:o ForcepointHigh-level knowledge of application delivery technologies, including:o F5 (GTM, LTM, Distributed Cloud)o CloudflareHigh-level knowledge of external certificate managementKnowledge of frameworks relevant to the roleStrong communication skills, including the ability to write procedural,
