This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role in ensuring the upkeep, safety, and optimal functioning of our facilities and grounds.
As Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all maintenance operations, lead a maintenance team, and ensure that all systems, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards.
This position is essential to our operations and directly impacts the quality of our service delivery and the safety of our community.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, coordinate, and manage the maintenance team to ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standardPlan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance activities across all facilities and groundsConduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and landscaping to identify maintenance needsManage maintenance budgets, track expenditure, and ensure cost-effective solutions are implementedMaintain comprehensive records of all maintenance work completed, including inspections, repairs, and equipment servicingRespond promptly to urgent maintenance issues and emergencies to minimise disruption and ensure safetyLiaise with external contractors and suppliers to obtain quotations, manage service agreements, and coordinate specialist workEnsure all maintenance activities comply with relevant health, safety, and building regulationsTrain and mentor maintenance staff on best practices, safety protocols,



and new proceduresDevelop and implement maintenance strategies to extend the lifespan of assets and equipmentMonitor and report on the condition of facilities to senior management, providing recommendations for improvementsWhat We're Looking ForProven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar supervisory maintenance role within a facilities, hospitality, healthcare, or service-based environmentStrong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenanceDemonstrated experience in managing maintenance teams and leading staffCompetency in preventative maintenance planning and schedulingProficiency in using maintenance management software and computer systemsSound understanding of health and safety regulations, building codes, and compliance requirementsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to urgent maintenance issuesStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independentlyValid driver's licence and ability to travel within the local areaRelevant qualifications or certifications in maintenance, facilities management, or building services (preferred)Experience with grounds and landscaping maintenance (preferred)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with staff and external contractorsWhat We OfferOrana Gardens is committed to supporting our employees with a competitive remuneration package and a range of benefits that promote work-life balance and professional development.
