In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee daily operations, manage a dedicated team, and ensure the facility operates efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong operational expertise, motivational leadership capabilities, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement within our resource recovery operations.What you'll be doing:Supervise and manage a team of operational staff, providing explicit direction, performance feedback, and professional development opportunitiesEnsure all facility operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry best practicesPlan, schedule, and coordinate daily operational activities to optimize resource recovery processes and facility efficiencyMonitor team performance, conduct performance reviews, and implement corrective actions as neededMaintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation in accordance with organizational standardsIdentify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to improve productivity and safety outcomesCommunicate effectively with senior management, team members,



and external stakeholders regarding operational status and performance metricsOversee equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate with maintenance personnel to minimize downtimeManage budget allocations for the team and operational expenses within approved parametersFoster a positive, safety-conscious workplace culture that motivates team members and promotes engagementConduct regular safety briefings and ensure adherence to all safety protocols and proceduresThe skills and experience you'll bring to the role:Proven experience in a team leadership or supervisory role within operations, facility management, or resource recovery/waste management sectorStrong knowledge of resource recovery operations, waste management processes, and environmental compliance requirementsDemonstrated ability to manage and motivate diverse teams in a fast-paced operational environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with all organizational levelsProficiency in health and safety management, including incident reporting and hazard identificationStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasksExperience with operational planning, scheduling, and resource allocationCompetency in performance management and employee developmentProblem-solving and analytical skills with a decisive, action-oriented approachFamiliarity with operational software systems and data management toolsKnowledge of budget management and cost control principlesAbility to work flexible hours and respond to operational demands as requiredRequired Certifications & QualificationsCurrent forklift, front-end loader,
