We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to manage financial tasks.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a small team workplace, can take ownership of accounts processes, and is comfortable multitasking.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable & ReceivableProcess supplier invoices and ensure timely paymentsGenerate and send customer invoicesMaintain accurate price lists by customerFollow up on outstanding accounts and ensure retentions are closedReconcile accounts and resolve discrepanciesPerform daily/weekly bank reconciliationsProactively manage cash flow and deliver solutions via weekly reportingPayroll SupportAssist with payroll processing (timesheets, subcontractor payments)Maintain accurate employee and contractor recordsMaintain accurate financial records in accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB)Assist with BAS preparation and liaise with external accountant/bookkeeperPrepare financial reports (P&L;, Cash Flow, Sales Projections)



with monthly presentation to ownersStock and Inventory ManagementOrder stock for projects and general warehouse suppliesMaintain Stock On Hand reportGeneral AdministrationRespond to email enquiriesSupport job tracking, purchase orders, and project documentationMaintain filing systems (digital and physical)Assist with compliance and licensing documentationSkills & ExperiencePrevious experience in an accounts or accounting role (construction industry experience highly regarded)Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero/MYOBStrong attention to detail, ownership and problem solvingAbility to work independently and manage prioritiesGood communication skills and a professional mannerBasic understanding of GST, BAS, and Australian accounting practicesDesirable (but not essential)Experience in the construction or trades industryKnowledge of job costing or project-based accountingFamiliarity with subcontractor managementBe careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
