We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team at MYXA' in Melbourne's western suburbs, VIC.
In this casual role, you will provide personalised support and care to individuals living with a disability.
You will work closely with our participants to help them achieve their goals and live independently within the community.What you'll be doingProviding compassionate and individualised support to participants, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and community engagementImplementing therapeutic and behavioural support strategies, with a focus on promoting participants independence and wellbeingCollaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement participant-centred support plansMaintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure high-quality service deliveryAdvocating for participants rights and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and empowering environmentWhat we're looking forMinimum 2 years' experience providing disability support, including forensic experience.Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services,



or a related fieldDemonstrated understanding of person-centred approaches and the ability to tailor support to individual needsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clientsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on promoting client independenceCommitment to upholding the rights and dignity of individuals with disabilityCurrent First Aid and CPR certificates, and a valid driver's licenceWhat we offerAt MYXA', we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment.
