Honeycombes Sales and Service – Townsville QLDThe Service Technician - Trucks role is apermanent full-timeposition based in Townsville.As our Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering outcomes to our customers through quality servicing and repair work.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will contribute to team success and expand your skills and enjoy a variety of work, where no 2 days are the same!
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Maintaining excellent relationships with customers by ensuring a high level of service and repair work carried out at all timeCompleting diagnostics, repairs and service on heavy commercial machinery and trailers on leading brands such as Hino, Iveco and Scania.Warranty diagnostic & repairs along with Safety Recalls to ensure limited downtime for our customersComplete all documentation as required in conjunction with work assignments including accurate and detailed completion of timecards to ensure costs associated with the service/repair are allocated accordinglyAbility to work efficiently and productively while maintaining quality and safety standardsFollow any reasonable request to undertake other areas of work and/or trainingAbout you:Trade Qualified Service Technician (Heavy Commercial Vehicle or Engineering - Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic), with experience specific to trucks and trailersExcellent electrical understanding including CAN BUS technology as well as fault finding using multimeter, oscilloscope, OEM diagnostic tooling, etcMinimum of 2 years of truck mechanical experienceSound fault finding and diagnostic skills with a willingness to learn technologyAbility and willingness to perform servicing and repair work on a variety of trucks and trailersAbility to participate in the On-Call roster for 24/7 breakdown repairs to keep our customers on the road around the clockDedicated to continual learning with a genuine interest in delivering results to our customersAustralian work rights and valid driver licence is requiredHR licence is desirableIn return we can offer:An attractive remuneration package including overtime opportunities and staff discountsOn-Call allowance including the limited use of company car & phone when rostered On-CallAll uniforms & PPE providedMonthly branch morning teasCareer opportunities through ongoing development opportunities, in-house and through our dealership networkA rewarding and reliable career with an Australian owned businessA spot in a genuinely, caring team who build up one another for success!
