With a strong focus on innovation, collaboration and customer outcomes, the organisation is committed to creating engaging communications that keep stakeholders informed and connected.The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Graphic Designer to join a high-performing Customer & Stakeholder Management team on a 12-month temporary contract, with the possibility of a further 12-month extension.In this role, you will play a key role in developing creative visual communications that support major infrastructure programs and community engagement initiatives.
Working closely with communications professionals, project teams and senior stakeholders, you'll transform complex information into engaging, accessible and visually compelling content across a wide range of digital and print platforms.Following an initial probation period, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign engaging print and digital communication materialsProduce videos, publications, presentations and social media contentDevelop creative solutions for stakeholder and community engagementEnsure all communications align with corporate branding guidelinesProvide expert design advice to internal stakeholdersCoordinate external creative suppliers and production partnersManage multiple projects while meeting competing deadlinesContribute to continuous improvement of design services and visual communication standardsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality communication outcomesAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:Extensive experience as a Graphic Designer,
Visual Designer or Creative DesignerAdvanced skills using Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere ProExperience producing high-quality digital, print and multimedia contentStrong understanding of branding, visual identity and corporate style guidesAbility to translate technical or complex information into engaging visual communicationsExcellent project management, organisational and time management skillsExceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workExperience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of accessibility requirements, including WCAG and accessible document designStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsHighly regarded:Minimum five years' skilled graphic design experienceTertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or a related disciplineExperience within a large corporate or government environmentKnowledge of Queensland Government processes and branding standardsWhat's On Offer12-month temporary contract with extension potentialOpportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure projectsCollaborative and creative team environmentFlexible work arrangements following probationCompetitive hourly rate and Queensland Government conditionsAbout UsWith Head Office in Cairns and offices in Townsville and Brisbane.
