REFOCUS is seeking a Team Leader – Family Services to provide operational leadership and practice oversight across programs supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families.About the roleAs a Team Leader – Family Services, you will:Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision,



and support to frontline teamsOversee program delivery across Family Participation, Delegated Authority, Community and Kinship Care, and Family Finder programsEnsure services are culturally safe, trauma-informed, and aligned with legislation and standardsSupport placement stability, reunification, and positive outcomes for children and familiesLead documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements across programsBuild strong working relationships with Child Safety, families, and community stakeholdersPay and conditionsSCHCADS Level 6 (based on experience and capability)Classification level and pay rate are assessed and determined based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated capability.What we're looking forExperience in child protection, family support, youth work, or related fieldsDemonstrated leadership or supervision experience in complex service environmentsStrong commitment to culturally safe and trauma-informed practiceAbility to lead teams, manage performance, and support workforce developmentStrong communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skillsQualifications and experienceTertiary qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Human Services, or related fieldMinimum 3–5 years relevant industry experienceKnowledge of Queensland child protection legislation and frameworksAdditional requirementsCurrent Working with Children Check (Blue Card)Criminal history checkCurrent Drivers LicenceAbility to meet REFOCUS compliance and reporting requirementsWillingness to work flexible hours as requiredAbility to work within the 10 Child Safe Standards
