including assisting with relocation expenses, establishing yourself in Mackay or purchasing tools and equipment for the role.Whether you're already based locally or considering relocating to Mackay, this bonus provides additional flexibility to help you get started.About the RoleReporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll be responsible for manufacturing and refurbishing mining and conveyor products to a high standard of quality and workmanship.Key responsibilities include:Manufacturing and refurbishing conveyor and mining-related productsReading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawingsOperating hand and power tools safely and effectivelyMaintaining high standards of workmanship and product qualityContributing to a safe, productive and organised workshopSupporting continuous improvement and operational excellenceAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:A trade qualification in fitting or a related mechanical tradeThe ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsA commitment to workplace safety and quality standardsHigh attention to detail and pride in your workmanshipA positive attitude and strong work ethicThe ability to work both independently and as part of a teamA current driver's licenceExperience with conveyor systems, materials-handling equipment or mining-related products will be highly regarded.
