This service provides free, confidential, evidence-based mental health support to current and former Australian Defence Force members and their families.The service focuses on high-quality, trauma-informed care, combining individual, couple and family counselling with group programs, outreach, and coordinated care pathways.
Clinicians are supported through funded clinical supervision, structured career development, and strong clinical governance.The RoleYou will deliver comprehensive mental health services to adults, couples and families, working with a broad range of presentations including trauma, adjustment difficulties, anxiety, depression, and complex psychosocial issues.
The role sits within a collaborative multidisciplinary team and includes regular case reviews and operational supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide evidence-based assessment, formulation and counsellingConduct risk assessments, care planning and progress reviewsDeliver individual, couple and family therapyMaintain accurate and confidential clinical documentationParticipate in case reviews,



supervision and CPDLiaise with families, external providers and internal stakeholdersContribute to group programs, outreach and service initiativesAbout YouYou are a skilled and compassionate clinician with strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills, and a trauma-informed, client-centred approach.
You are comfortable managing complex presentations while working within ethical, legislative and policy frameworks.Mandatory RequirementsAustralian citizenship required for security clearancesExperience working with a broad range of presentationsMinimum 3 years experience as a Mental Health ClinicianHighly desirable- previous work experience with veterans or personal connection to the ADFOne of the following:Psychologist or Mental Health Occupational Therapist with full AHPRA registration, orMasters-level counselling qualification with PACFA (Registered Clinical Counsellor) or ACA Level 3 or 4Current or ability to obtain:Working with Children Check orWorking with Vulnerable People registrationTo apply for this position please click APPLY, email applications will not be acceptedPlease note- only successful applicant will be contacted due to the volume of applications.
