12-month, non-ongoing position with the opportunity of extensionRemuneration $89,285 to $107,142 plus super, according to experienceHybrid work arrangements availableOccasional interstate travel may be requiredOur client, the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC), is seeking a capable and motivated Communications Officer to develop and deliver high-quality communications initiatives and engagement activities.
FRDC is a statutory corporation that invests in fisheries research and development to support the sustainability of aquatic sectors and ecosystems.

You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, managing multiple priorities while ensuring communications align with FRDC's strategic objectives.
This role requires a proactive and adaptable professional who can take a strategic,



organisation-wide perspective and effectively facilitate collaboration across teams to deliver key initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and oversee communication-related projectsOversee the development or corporate communication tools and publications such as website and social media contentDevelop relationships with key stakeholders, including industry, media, government and community stakeholders.Respond to ad hoc queries from stakeholders and the broader community.Contribute to the development of strategies, plans, and corporate documentsManage FRDC's corporate style guideDevelop and contribute to articles and photographsCoordinate FRDC presence or participation at external eventsDevelop and maintain relevant policies and procedures to ensure transparent operations across staffManage web content to ensure it is current and accurateWhat You Will NeedExcellent written and oral communication skillsEnthusiasm and energy for the work and prioritiesProven experience in corporate brand engagementExperience working with graphics and web platform packagesAt least five years of experience managing communication activitiesExperience delivering compelling content for stakeholders and mediaA bachelor's degree or higher in science, natural resource management, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related fieldThis is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing and values-driven organisation that is making a significant contribution to Australia's aquatic industries and ecosystems.
