The Society recognises the value of an inclusive work environment and believes that our diversity is a strength in the work we do with our local communities.Your RoleAs a Vinnies Van Coordinator, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of one of our vital outreach services supporting people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness, and those experiencing severe cost-of-living hardship across NSW.
Working within our Membership, Volunteers and Early Intervention directorate, you'll be at the heart of a program that delivers more than just meals, it delivers connection, compassion and dignity.
You'll coordinate a passionate volunteer workforce, ensure our vans are running safely and efficiently, and build meaningful relationships across the community,



from corporate partners to grassroots groups.
This is a hands-on, people focused role where no two days are the same, and every day has purpose.
This position will cover the Liverpool and Campbelltown locations.Your ResponsibilityYou'll be the driving force behind a well-run, compliant and impactful service.Oversee the daily operations of your allocated Vinnies Van service, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safelyLead, support and inspire a large team of dedicated volunteers who staff the van service, from recruitment through to training and ongoing engagementManage rosters, compliance and reporting, ensuring accurate data collection and use of digital toolsEnsure timely maintenance of vehicles, equipment and service sites, ensuring all WHS and food safety standards are metBuild and strengthen community partnerships with local organisations, schools, corporate groups and government agenciesSupport the delivery of the statewide Vinnies Vans strategy, working closely with internal teams and stakeholdersCoordinate events, volunteer recognition initiatives and community engagement activitiesContribute to a strong, collaborative team culture and uphold the mission and values of VinniesYou Will NeedYou're organised, people-focused and driven by purpose.Experience in community services, volunteer coordination, operations or administrationProven ability to lead and engage volunteers or teams, building a positive and inclusive environmentStrong communication and relationship-building skills,
