In this role, you'll provide individualised one-on-one supports to two men with complex mental health and disability-related support needs across separate living arrangements.
You'll become part of a consistent support team focused on building trust, promoting independence, and supporting each person to live life on their own terms.About the people you'll supportYou'll be supporting two men with lived experience of complex mental health and disability, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Schizophrenia.Both enjoy active and meaningful lives that include social activities, community participation, recreation, health and wellbeing goals, and spending time with people and things that matter to them.This role requires someone who is patient, consistent, and relationship-focused.
Someone who can build trust over time and provide support in a way that respects individual choices, communication styles, routines, and goals.Success in this role comes from being calm, reliable, respectful, and able to maintain professional boundaries while supporting people to increase their independence, participation, and quality of life.
Our approach focuses on dignity, choice, safety, and meaningful participation in everyday life.About the roleYou will provide one-on-one supports across two individual support arrangements, assisting participants in their homes and within the community.
This is a hands‐on role supporting people with complex mental health and behavioural support needs.
The successful applicant will work as part of an experienced team and receive comprehensive training before commencing work.Your role will includeBuilding meaningful,
professional relationshipsSupporting daily living activitiesCommunity access and social participationSupporting health and wellbeing goalsFollowing Positive Behaviour Support strategiesMaintaining accurate records and shift reportingWorking collaboratively with families and allied health professionalsAbout the shiftsThis role includes a mix of day, afternoon and sleepover shifts, including weekend work.
Regular ongoing hours are available, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts across the team.
