Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Electric Motor Winder / Armature Winder to join their Campbellfield workshop.About the RoleThis is an excellent prospect to join a well-established and growing business where your skills will be valued.
Working in a contemporary workshop, you'll be responsible for the repair,
rewinding and refurbishment of AC and DC rotating electrical equipment across a broad range of industrial applications.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in producing quality workmanship and enjoys working within a skilled and supportive team.Key ResponsibilitiesStrip, inspect and assess electric motors and generatorsRewind AC stators and DC armaturesManufacture replacement coils where requiredComplete coil insertion, lacing, wedging and insulation workPerform soldering, brazing and electrical connectionsRepair and refurbish commutators and slip ringsReplace bearings, seals and other motor componentsConduct insulation resistance, winding resistance and surge testingRead and interpret winding data and technical drawingsPrepare windings for varnishing and curingAssemble motors following repairComplete workshop documentation and quality recordsMaintain a clean, organised and protected work environmentAbout YouTo be successful in this role you will have:Previous experience as an Electric Motor Winder or Armature WinderExperience rewinding AC stators and/or DC armaturesA strong understanding of electric motor construction and repair techniquesThe ability to read winding diagrams and technical drawingsHigh attention to detail and pride in your workmanshipStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsThe ability to work independently and within a team environmentA current Australian Driver's Licence (preferred)What's on OfferCompetitive hourly rates based on your experienceOvertime opportunities availableFully maintained company ute available for the right candidateStable, full-time employment with a respected industry leaderOngoing training and career development opportunitiesModern workshop with quality equipmentSupportive team workplace with long-term career prospectsOpportunity to join one of Australia's leading independent electric motor repair specialistsFHR is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a workplace that values diversity, inclusion, and respect for all employees.
