Key duties
Assisting welders, boilermakers and fabricators with daily workshop tasks
Moving, loading and unloading steel, materials and finished products
Cutting, grinding and preparing steel components as required
Assisting with measuring, marking and positioning steel
Using hand and power tools under instruction
Cleaning, grinding and preparing weld areas
Assisting with drilling, punching and general steel preparation
Packing and organizing fabricated steel for delivery
Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and free from hazards
