In addition, you will:Ensure that the school delivers high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community it serves,



embedded in the Catholic world viewLead a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the ChurchDisplay and share deep knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum and enhance the liturgical, sacramental and spiritual life of the schoolBuild the necessary relationships with the Parish Priest, parents, learning community, Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese, and other partners in sharing the work of Catholic educationCreate and maintain a safe, inclusive and challenging learning environmentAbout you (selection criteria)A strong commitment to the Catholic faith in practice and lifestyle, witness and modellingA minimum of four years' skilled qualification in educationAccreditation to teach RE and the completion of a Masters of Religious Education/Theology or a Masters of Educational Leadership (if there are at least four units at Masters Level in Religious Education/Theology and/or Scripture)Substantial currency in Religious Education pedagogy and knowledge of the Religious Education curriculumAn understanding of contemporary learning theory and practice, and an ability to ensure this is evident in the teaching within the schoolCapacity to challenge and lead a school community that gives witness to the Catholic faith and ensure its teaching is aligned with the system strategic intentDemonstrated ability to build and sustain positive peer relationships and engage actively within the school communityCommitment to modelling school values and integrityA demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning and formationQualifications and accreditationsMeet the requirements of Category E of the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy or agree to meet these requirements in your first contract term.




This includes four units of postgraduate study in RE/Theology and/or Catholic Leadership in addition to those undertaken for Category D.Be accredited to teach Religious Education (Category D).
