We are seeking your leadership skills and qualities to assist us in building a workforce that prides itself on accountability and effectiveness.This is a 12 month, full time contract with the possibility of extension.Benefits That Matter:Competitive Salary: Level 4, Pay Point 1 – $***** per hour (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award ****) + super (12%)Tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900 per year (pro-rata)Enjoy a tax-free meal & entertainment card up to $2,650 per year (pro-rata)Exclusive employee discounts for permanent staff members including automotive discounts, pharmacy discounts and fitness passport.Invest in YOU: Grow with Westhaven's Leadership and Development TrainingAbout YouAs a Children Services Team Leader, you will:Work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in the effective delivery of support services to Westhaven Children and Young People (CYP) with a range of complex needsPartner with children and young people (CYP) diagnosed with a disability and/or complex behaviour needs to achieve their goals and to live life the way they chooseBe responsible for ensuring the children and young people you support are receiving a high level of quality care with dignity and respect from a team of support workers you will lead, mentor and superviseYou will have:Advanced problem-solving capabilities, confidence and emotional intelligence that enable you to resolve complex situationsThe ability to interact positively at all levels,



including demonstrated capacity to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communitiesDemonstrated ability to lead, motivate and performance manage a team within a energetic and fast paced environmentEffective conflict resolution skills, negotiation, mediation and decision-making skills paired with exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to confidently apply de-escalation strategies in high conflict situationsDemonstrated ability to build a cohesive team with clarity around goals and accountabilitiesA leadership style that fosters innovative, creative and collaborative practices and the ability to motivate othersWillingness to take a person-centred approach to working with vulnerable persons to ensure that the goals and aspirations of the person with disability are understoodCelebrate and nurture an inclusive, diverse and supportive workplaceCertificate IV or Diploma in Disability Services, Community Services, Children's Services or similar field; or identify as Aboriginal and be willing to work towards a relevant qualificationExperience supporting individuals with complex needs, behaviours of concern and mental health concernsExperience working with people with a disability, highly regardedExperience working with children or youth in a care or education setting,
