The VACCA team is committed to the organisation's visions and values, passionately providing support, service and advocacy for our children and other vulnerable members of the community.Our strength lies with our people.About The RoleThis position is responsible for co-ordinating a culturally secure, family-centred intake function for Ovens Murray VACCA Family Services.
The role will oversee all referrals coming into the Family Services program area and manage VACCA's key partnerships with referral agencies, including internal programs and external agencies.About YouDemonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA's vision and purpose.Demonstrated awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, and commitment to continually build knowledge of such, along with a high level of awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal communities.Comprehensive understanding of the relevant legislation, policies, practice frameworks and requirements relevant to the effective operation of the programs and services.Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively with other agencies to support families to navigate and access support services.DesirableAt least 2 years' experience working in a client-facing role in the family services sector.Experience working directly or indirectly with intake functions and processes.Experience working in Aboriginal organisations and with Aboriginal communities.Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology and/or Child and Family Welfare or an equivalent related to community services or willingness to obtain.RequirementsValid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
