Located in Penola, South Australia – the purpose-built plant provides a state-of-the-art factory and is the newest of its kind in the southern hemisphere.The Union Dairy Company (UDC), part of the Midfield Group, is currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team based in Warrnambool, Victoria.
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organisation.This includes managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and strategic financial planning.
The role supports executive leadership with insights and recommendationsto drive business performance and ensure financial sustainability.MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead preparation of financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual)Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunitiesEnsure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws and regulatory requirementsOversee cash flow, working capital,



and financial systems/process improvementsProvide strategic financial advice to senior managementCoordinate internal and external auditsSupervise and develop finance team membersLiaise with external stakeholders (i.ebanks, auditors and regulatory bodies)SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:Strategic thinking, financial acumen, and strong analytical/problem-solving skillsStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial compliance, and Australian regulationsExcellent communication, leadership, attention to detail, and time managementAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesBachelor's in accounting, Commerce, or Finance; CA/CPA preferredPrevious experience in financial management or senior accounting roles will be preferredExperience in the dairy or farming industry will be highly regarded but not essentialWHY JOIN US?
