An exciting opportunity exists for a Laboratory Technician to join a leading energy industry laboratory team based at the Longford Gas Plant.
This role offers hands-on laboratory experience, exposure to operational testing and analysis, and the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced scientific and technical professionals.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Laboratory Team Leader, you will provide analytical and scientific support to onsite operations, offshore assets, and broader business functions.
You will play a critical role in ensuring laboratory testing, sampling, reporting, and quality processes are completed accurately and safely.

Key Responsibilities
Collect samples from onsite and offsite locationsConduct laboratory testing and sample analysisPrepare and maintain accurate laboratory records and reportsOperate and maintain laboratory equipmentPerform routine laboratory housekeeping activitiesEnsure compliance with quality, safety, and integrity standardsSupport continuous improvement initiativesWork collaboratively with onsite and offshore stakeholders
To be successful, you will have:
Degree qualification in Science or a related discipline (highly regarded)Previous laboratory, testing, quality assurance, or analytical experienceStrong computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilityHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and manage competing prioritiesA robust commitment to safety,



quality, and continuous improvementCurrent Driver's Licence (preferred)

Location
This role is based full-time at the Longford Gas Plant, Gippsland VIC.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a site-based environment, with occasional opportunities to support offshore activities as required.
