Support Worker – Women’s Crisis Accommodation
An opportunity is available for compassionate Support Workers to join a respected not-for-profit community services provider supporting women experiencing domestic and family violence.
Working in women’s crisis accommodation, you will provide person-centred, trauma-informed support to help clients feel safe, respected and empowered as they rebuild their lives.

The role
As a Support Worker, you will:
Provide trauma-informed, person-centred support that promotes client safety, dignity and empowerment
Assist with client intake, assessment and orientation to the service
Work alongside Case Workers to implement individual support and case plans
Maintain accurate case notes and client records
Help ensure the accommodation service remains secure, welcoming and well run
Advocate for clients and liaise with relevant community and external support services
Work in line with best practice, safeguarding requirements and work health and safety standards
About you
To be successful, you will have:
A Certificate IV in Community Services or related qualification, or equivalent relevant experience
Experience in community services, homelessness, or the domestic and family violence sector—highly regarded
Solid communication, interpersonal and record-keeping skills
A respectful, non-judgemental and client-focused approach
The ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a multidisciplinary team
A current NSW Driver Licence
Availability to work a rotating roster, including day, afternoon and sleepover shifts, as well as some weekends, public holidays and after-hours shifts
