The right candidate will be responsible for assembling and fabrication of steel, aluminium and stainless-steel products. They will be involved in every aspect of the project from fitting, cutting and preparing metal components to welding and the final finish. All fabrication must be carried out as per supplied engineering drawings and to Australian Standards.
Skills & Experience:
Must have relevant Trade/ engineering qualification in fitting and metal fabrication.
Demonstrate experience working as a Fitter/welder, preferably within the engineering or metal fabrication setting
To able Mig and/or Tig weld to Australian Standards
Be able to read and interpret workshop drawing accurately
Be competent to use power tools
Experience in using Engineering Machinery like Guillotine, Press Brake, Drill Press, Laith and Saws
Work as part of a team or autonomously.
Maintain a clean working workplace and comply with workshop Health and Safety requirements.
Be able to learn current fabrication techniques and to operate CNC equipment.
