This is a full-time position based in Hoppers Crossing, VIC ****.

You will work on a variety of commercial and residential projects, gaining hands-on experience with modern air conditioning systems, installation, maintenance, and repair work.Key responsibilitiesFor Apprentices (1-4 years):Assisting qualified technicians with the installation, maintenance and repair of air conditioning systemsLearning and applying refrigeration principles and safety protocols on job sitesPerforming routine maintenance tasks under supervision, including cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels and inspecting componentsAssisting with the diagnosis of system faults and contributing to troubleshooting activitiesMaintaining accurate records of work completed and parts usedEnsuring compliance with health and safety standards on all projectsContinuing your formal apprenticeship training and technical studiesFor Experienced and Qualified Technicians:Installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing commercial and residential air conditioning systemsDiagnosing complex system faults and implementing effective solutionsConducting preventative maintenance programmes and servicing contractsSupervising and mentoring apprentices and junior staff membersReading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and system specificationsEnsuring all work complies with relevant regulations,



codes and safety standardsManaging customer relationships and providing professional service adviceMaintaining detailed job documentation and equipment recordsWhat we're looking forFor Apprentices (1-4 years):Currently enrolled in or recently completed an air conditioning or refrigeration apprenticeship programmeBetween 1-4 years of relevant apprenticeship or work experience in the air conditioning industrySound knowledge of basic refrigeration principles and air conditioning system operationPractical experience with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the tradeStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocolsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamValid driver's license and reliable transportPhysical fitness to perform manual work and access confined spacesWillingness to continue formal training and professional developmentFor Experienced and Qualified Technicians:Current air conditioning and refrigeration licence or equivalent qualification (HVAC qualification or similar recognised certification)Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in commercial and/or residential air conditioning installation, maintenance and repairComprehensive knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical components and control systemsProficiency in system diagnostics, troubleshooting and fault rectificationExperience with EPA/statutory compliance and environmental regulations related to refrigerantsProven ability to work safely and follow strict health and safety standardsStrong customer service skills and professional communication abilitiesValid driver's license and own reliable transportAbility to supervise and mentor junior staff membersUp-to-date knowledge of current air conditioning technologies and industry best practicesWhat we offerHighAir-Tech Australia is committed to fostering a positive and supportive work environment where our team members can thrive.
