You'll be leading a team of 6–10 Test Analysts, reporting to the Test Manager, and contributing to a vibrant community of practice that champions continuous improvement.
Together, we're helping A&G; achieve its vision of becoming Australia's best insurer.The roleAs Test Lead, you'll oversee the entire testing lifecycle — from strategic planning and design through to execution and comprehensive reporting.
You'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of applications, products and services across multiple testing types including system, integration, regression, UAT, performance, security, and production verification testing.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll mentor your team, champion quality across the organisation, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices.Develop and manage testing strategy and planning across all testing phases (ST/SIT, Regression, UAT, PVT)Lead walkthroughs with stakeholders on testing approaches for new initiativesProvide guidance and support to Test Analysts on test coverage, risks, and defect managementBuild, define, and maintain regression suites in collaboration with Test Analysts and Business SMEsPartner with Automation Analysts to support automation of regression suitesActively participate in Flow Delivery workshops representing testing requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Analysts) from concept to deliveryPlan and design comprehensive test cases ensuring coverage across positive, negative, and regression scenariosLead test execution, defect identification, raising, and retestingDeliver comprehensive test reports including Test Progress, Test Summary, and Defect reportsApply advanced testing techniques such as risk-based testing, BDD, TDD,



and the 3 amigos approachSupport onboarding of current team members and facilitate skills development for Test AnalystsContribute to the Testing Community of Practice, sharing knowledge and best practicesProvide transparent communication to stakeholders on all testing mattersIdentify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks in line with APRA's prudential standardsWhat experience you'll bringMinimum 3 years' experience as a Test LeadDemonstrated experience supporting and mentoring a team of Test AnalystsProven track record creating test strategies, plans, test traceability matrices, and test reportsStrong understanding of software development methodologies including Agile/Scrum and Continuous DeliveryDemonstrated use of testing techniques such as Risk Based testing, BDD, and TDDHigh-level knowledge of test practices, tools, and techniques, including the testing pyramidExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical staff, end-users, and managementStrong coaching and mentoring skills to uplift team capabilitiesPragmatic approach and resilience to changeAbility to work independently with limited supervisionSound skills in problem solving, time and resource managementDegree relating to Information Technology field from a recognised tertiary institution (or equivalent qualifications/experience)LocationThis role can be based in Toowong, Kawana or North Lakes, with a preference for Toowong.
