The HYPAR Group is a collective of specialist organisations supporting young people, people with disability, and people seeking personal wellbeing and independence.We offer a range of tailored supports, including Mentoring, Supported Independent Living (SIL), Disability Support, Residential Care, Outdoor Mentorship and Adventure Activities to participants across South-East Queensland region.For further information about our organisation please visit our website the RoleHYPAR are looking for exceptional support workers/mentors to assist our participants to achieve their goals through leading and mentoring, and building relationships based on HYPAR's core values.Everyday can be a little different, but here at HYPAR the role of a support worker/mentor includes:Implementing care plans, safety plans and behaviour support plans.Aligning supports with allied health skilled's recommendations to assist with achieving goals and using best practice strategies.Planning, assisting and engaging participants in suitable activities.Support participants to engage community and mainstream service.Provide domestic support, including but not limited to; house cleaning, laundry, cooking, budgeting, shopping, etc.Provide mental health support within a therapeutic framework to deliver quality care.Complete high-quality documentation to provide the NDIS and governing bodies with information relating to supports, incidences and funding needs.Positions are available throughout the Moreton Bay region.About YouThe ideal candidate will have:Have previous experience working with people with complex disabilities and behaviours.Have experience working with people with psychosocial disabilitiesExceptional emotional intelligence, demonstrating initiative and flexibility, being able to build strong relationships with participants, families and stakeholders.The ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal,



and are proficient in the use of smart phones and computers.Strong professional boundaries, and the understanding of their importance.A drive to do purposeful work that improves the quality of life and goal outcomes for out participants.Ability to work a flexible roster, with availability in the mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Preference to have availability to do 1-2 sleep over shifts per week.
