GRF's income has grown from $110,000 in its first year to $47 million in **** approximately half of the Institute's total income.
The remarkable success of the Foundation is having a catalytic impact on their researchers' ability to make scientific contributions that will lead to earlier diagnosis, better treatment and prevention or cure of a range of diseases.ROLEThis newly created role offers the prospect to build your relationship fundraising experience for a two-person team working to drive growth of the mid-value program.
You get to use your exceptional customer service, relationship management and communication skillsacross the mid-valueprogram.Reporting to the Mid Value/Fundraising Officer and sitting within the Individual Giving team, you will be engaged in detailed and personalized engagement activities across new and existing donor groups via telephone, written communications and events.This is a great opportunity to build your relationship fundraising,



marketing and events skills for a leading medical research organisation that values and supports their team whilst contributing to life saving research.RESPONSIBILITIESProvide exceptional Customer Service and Stewardship of donors, gifts in wills prospectsVia phone, build relationships through active listening and providing information, guiding donors along the journey.Conduct follow up engagement phone calls following relevant communicationsRespond to enquiries from supporters in timely mannerProvide personalized written communications e.g. thank you notes, birthday cards, impact reports, appeals and email communicationsConduct donor care calls to mid-value supporters, bequest prospects and Partners for the FutureRespond to all mid value and gifts in wills campaign enquiries in a timely skilled and sensitive mannerProvide best practice maintenance of detailed supporter records and data entry notes, and estate and relevant documentsAssist with research to identify new prospectsConduct email, mail, or phone communicationsAssist with individual mailings and direct mailing campaigns for both mid value and bequest supportersAssist with development and delivery of tours and other engagement activitiesAttend and assist at functions such public seminars,



tours and external presentations and donor eventsYOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES1-2 years' experience in fundraising or marketing (ideal but not essential)Open to telemarketing, communications, health, science, nursing, events/hospitality and human resources backgroundBring a warm, confident telephone mannerExperience in working in a people face or customer service roleExcellent customer service/interpersonal and relationship building skillsSound knowledge of working with databases/CRM'sSound MS Office products knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Zoom)Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracyStrong time management and project management skillsExcellent listening skills, with patience, tolerance and sensitivity towards donorsCan work effectively in a small team and independently without supervision while collaborating with broader FoundationSound judgement with ability to speak to organisation's mission and impactSelf-starter, motivated with calm, positive and 'can do' attitude and strong work ethicWe welcome applications from individuals re-entering workforce after a career break or looking to transition their exceptional interpersonal skills into the for-purpose sectorCULTUREThe team are sociable, hardworking and passionate about increasing awareness of and support for the Foundation, so that they can continue to contribute to research for a future where everyone lives longer, healthier lives.If you bring exceptional customer service and communication skills, exhibit the highest standards of professionalism with experience we would love to hear from you.
